Activity Analysis

A set of tools used to analyze what the product, people and machines are doing in a process in order to remove waste and meet Takt time. The Activity Analysis is an input to creating Standardized Work. It helps you to identify and eliminate waste in the process (from the perspective of the product, person and the machine). Activity of data will be the input for balancing workflow and the creation of Standardized Work. How to do it: Observe the process; document the process from the perspective of the “product” of the process; categorize the products activity; identify waste to be removed from the products activity; repeat the above steps for the people and the equipment in the process, if this need is identified by Activity of the Product analysis.
