How can I effectively combine my necessary housekeeping with taking care of my kids?

I have heard that Six Sigma Lean is for manufacturing and production, and can only be implemented and used on production sites. I am an office worker and I am interested in Lean, but I’m afraid I can’t do much about it in an office environment. Is my assumption correct?

Six Sigma Lean was developed mainly for use in production and manufacturing; however over time it has become apparent that Lean has the same applications in the office as it has in manufacturing. To be able to make the best of Lean you need to transform the whole organization. As it is a systematic way of thinking, you need be aware that each department links to the others and improvement can’t be made in silos. This is the same for the entire company, as even a manufacturing site incorporates an office environment and workers in departments such as HR, IT, and finance. Go ahead, first influence the leadership and then use as many tools as you can. Develop your Lean mindset which will make a difference in your life and can have a positive impact on your colleagues as well.
